People are preparing to raise a glass or two to celebrate two decades of fund raising with the 20th Wilburton Beer Festival.

This weekend the village will be turned into a haven for family fun, real ales, music and more to help bring in thousands for local community projects.

Since being launched in 1998 the festival has raised more than £75,000 for good causes.

The Wilburton Beer Festival team are making last minute preparations for their 20th charity festival on June 23 and 24.

Highlights include a selection of more than 50 craft beers and ciders, Pimms, Prosecco and Gin tent and an incredible band line up featuring pioneering folk punker Cush from The Men They Couldn’t Hang, with special guests from Feral Family and The Professionals, plus Sabretooth Timmy and Max Headroom.

There will be pizza, Thai food, cream teas, sweet treats and of course lots of fun for children including inflatables, zorb balls, trampolines, face painting in addition to a wide range of stalls and attractions.

This year the raffle will raise money for The Beads of Courage, a project that provides additional support and coping strategies for children undergoing serious illness and treatments.
