THE president welcomed members' visitors, and there was also a special welcome back for Joan Giggins after her operation. A minute's silence was held in memory of Lily Sewell, a past member. Minutes and a county letter was read, dates for diaries noted. Tuesday, March 20, is a fish and chips and games evening; March 27 is patchwork at Anchor Court at 7pm. P Neal won the cup and saucer for points; three birthdays were celebrated and there was a choice of shopping bag, pen or hankie. The speaker for the evening was Mrs S Graves, who gave a talk and slide show on Welney Wetlands. Joy Moss gave a vote of thanks. There were 23 bird ornament competition entries. A draw ended the evening.

Next meeting is Thursday, April 12. Speaker will be Mrs S Elliot on ribbon embroidery. Competition is a needlecraft picture of any size.
