OUR September meeting was party night. Minutes as read. Thank you notes from Gladys, Doreen, Beatee and Leni. Group meeting on October 18, and a coffee morning on Saturday, September 30, at Anchor Court in aid of Macmillan. Starting at 10am, there will be cakes, a raffle and other stalls.

A sausage supper was served, followed by apple pie and cream with wine and fruit juices. Guests joined us from Ely, Prickwillow and Welney.

Vice-president Linda Harvey introduced our speaker Lorna Reddington, who spoke to us about 45 years of caravanning and the differences between then and now. A vote of thanks was given by June Bird. A draw ended the evening.

The next meeting is on Thursday, October 12, when Jackie Tevlin will talk about Joyce Grenfell. The competition is the oldest magazine.

WI Barn Dance in aid of Cancer Relief on Thursday, October 26, at Littleport Village Hall. Ploughman's supper and raffle. Tickets £6, please bring your own drink.
