WHO made this dalek?
Adult learners attending the Visual Arts class at the Larkfield Day Centre, that's who.
The idea for making a dalek came from one of the learners, Andrew Merry, who is an enthusiastic Dr Who fan.
Everyone in the class for adults with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, had a different job - from reading the plans, building the structure, applying the tissue paper, constructing the solar collectors and making lots of yellow spots.
As for homework, the learners had to watch several episodes of Dr Who in the name of research. Learners then created the Tardis out of the art room cupboard.
The class is run by Cambridgeshire Adult and Community learning and is available during term time from 1pm-3pm on Thursdays.
