HADDENHAM'S Arkenstall Centre was transformed from the temporary venue of the Mereham public enquiry into a festive fun day for pre-school children.
Three and four-year-old children from Haddenham pre-school enjoyed an early chance to snap up Christmas gifts at a shopping day on November 17.
Paula Rees, who organised the festive event, said: "All gifts were home-made by the children. It was a little competition that we had for them to decorate their own sweet jar and then they were raffled off in a morning and afternoon session."
"All the children got in the Christmas spirit. We have raised £1,020 so far with some money still to come in, which is great as we're a charitable organisation and rely on donations like these to keep going.
