The Royal Standard in Ely has teamed up with KD Theatre Productions - the group behind the Ely panto Beauty and the Beast - to brew a limited edition beer to celebrate this year’s show.
Mike Connelly, who runs the Royal Standard, has named the bitter ‘Beast’ and it will be on sale at the pub from today until stocks last.
Austen Dack, marketing manager for KD Theatre, said: “We have created several bespoke marketing packages for businesses to be associated with the panto across Ely. This beer is just one of them.
“Several other restaurants and public houses are involved with offers, as over 10,000 local people are set to visit the panto held at the Maltings Ely over the next four weeks.”
Beauty & The Beast, which is sponsored by Cheffins, opens on Friday December 22 at the Ely Maltings and continues until January 14.
