AN Ely man has been presented with an award in recognition of more than 200 hours of community volunteering.
Wayne Bideau, 23, of Castlehythe in Ely, was presented with a certificate by Millennium Volunteers on Monday at the Vera James House nursing home, where has been working with other volunteers as part of a Prince's Trust Team Challenge.
Mr Bideau was given the award to mark 200 hours of work with the Helping Hands Gardening Scheme, which provides work for adults in Ely, many of whom have learning difficulties.
The scheme, in turn, provides a gardening service for people who cannot, through disability or age, manage their gardens.
