Year 3 pupils at Littleport Community Primary School enjoyed an activity day, which was led by members of the Littleport Society as part of the school's Second World War studies.
The children dressed as evacuees for the day and made some gas masks. They also filled in identity cards and took these into their shelter where they were able to experience an air raid with the sounds of a siren. They were accompanied by Civil Defence Warden Des Smith.
The youngsters were also put through their paces and learned how to march with Sgt Smith.
After lunch, there was a chance to handle some artefacts from the Second World War and they made Union Jack flags. The day was rounded off with a spam and jam VE Day party.
Our picture shows Maisie and Thomas, who won prizes for their outfits.
