People of all ages and sexes put their Best Boob Forward at the weekend to complete a 13 mile hike round Sutton in aid of charity.

The event was the ninth annual Best Boob Forward Dawnwalk - Sutton’s answer to the nationally organised Moonwalk - and attracted 25 walkers.

Starting at 5am the walkers completed a route around the village ending up at the pavilion for breakfast.

It is hoped this year’s fundraising in aid of Breast Cancer Research will match last year’s £3,000 total.

Walk organiser for the past two years has been Liz Thrussell, who explained: “We have so far raised £25,000 with the walks, but next year is our 10th anniversary and we hope to reach the £30,000 milestone by then. It is a village effort and it was great that so many people took part. We started our ‘Dawnwalk’ after we failed to get into the official ‘Moonwalk’ all those years ago and we have been doing it ever since. We like to support the breast cancer charity as the disease has touched a lot of people in our village, and we also want to raise awareness.”
