VISITORS to Ely Museum got a taste of life in the Middle Ages on Saturday when an historical re-enactment group dropped in.

Grantanbrygg - the Anglo-Saxon name for Cambridge - brought costumes and reproductions of artefacts to the museum and told stories from the time of Hereward the Wake.

INFO: Ely Museum is at the corner of Lynn Road and Market Street. Open 10.30am to 4pm, £3 adults, £2.50 for concessions. Accompanied children get in free.
