Would you like to volunteer at this year’s professional pantomime at The Maltings?
Each year, KD Theatre Productions seeks a team of enthusiastic volunteers to work front of house as ushers at The Maltings over the busy pantomime period.
This year’s production of Beauty and the Beast runs from the December 22 to January 14 and is already proving to be very popular, said director Daniel Bell.
“Volunteering is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team and help spread the festive cheer to thousands of people over Christmas.
“Volunteers get to watch the show for free, access to discounted tickets and enjoy free interval refreshments.”
Starring Ely’s favourite pantomime dame, Terry Gauci, Beauty and the Beast tells the story of a young girl named Beauty as she becomes the Beast’s prisoner in order to save her father.
As time goes on, Beauty realises the Beast is not all that bad, but are her feelings strong enough to keep the Beast alive from the wicked curse placed upon him by the evil Poison Ivy.
Will Fairy Rose be able to weave her magic to help break the curse? Will Dame Mary Bakewell and her son, Willy-Do-It, ever get the cooking done?
Also joining the cast is Robin Hatcher (Cbeebies ‘Justins House’), Cameron Hay, Gregory Hazel, Terry Burns, Lucinda Withers and Lucy Bell as Beauty. Katherine Hickmott is the choreographer for the panto.
