AN exhibition promoting the village of Burwell will open to visitors on March 11 and 12.

The Burwell at Large event will include information on clubs, classes and associations in the local area and takes place at the village college.

The event has been organised by Burwell Community Forum and is held on alternate years. The 2006 theme is Burwell, Ever-Changing, a title which reflects the way village life has changed and continues to adapt to modern times.

As part of the events, Burwell History Society will be unveiling another in their series of historical plaques on The Old Lock-Up - once the village jail and fire engine house, just a short walk from the exhibition site.

Doors are open on March 11 (Saturday) at 1pm and the event runs until 5pm and the following day from 2-5pm. Plaque unveiling is at 3pm on Sunday.
