A MAN who found notoriety for selling hangman's gallows abroad has just finished building a stage for Queen Adelaide Village Hall.
David Lucas, who runs Eldon Farms Supplies in Hollywell Row, near Mildenhall, recently started a national campaign for rural Britain.
He said: "It's really interesting because the stage is built entirely from reclaimed wood that is more than 100 years old - it's as old as the hall itself."
The stage will be used for bingo and a variety of shows.
Mr Lucas said: "Hopefully this will go some way to restoring community spirit to the area.
