SPORT Relief runners turned out in force in Ely, braving the cold weather to raise money for charity.
After a vigorous warm up courtesy of Star 107 FM, the runners, including Ely Standard reporter Catherine Atkinson, were off the starting blocks and careering past the cathedral and the King's School on a one-mile circuit of the city.
Ely runners joined sports enthusiasts from more than 200 other towns and cities in the UK, for a one mile fun run. Some runners even ran the course twice.
Sport Relief will spend the £20,787,375 raised so far on a range of projects aimed at helping vulnerable and disadvantaged people in the UK and around the world. It is the highest ever total raised by the charity.
