ANIMAL magic drew the crowds on Sunday when the Isle Veterinary Group officially opened its purpose-built surgery.
Delighted youngsters found plenty of new playmates among the animals that turned up to help celebrate the opening with a family fun day.
Games and competitions for all ages proved a hit with visitors to the surgery in Ely's West Fen Road, which was officially opened by Linda Hutchinson, co-ordinator of Ely Cats Protection and trustee of Elysian Riding for the Disabled.
East Anglian Working Newfoundlands showed off their skills and youngsters enjoyed lending a hand with a number of tasks involving the animals.
Face painting, a bouncy castle, dog agility, a barbecue and balloon modelling all added to the fun.
