Archant

THIS was the scene on the outskirts of Ely yesterday (Monday) after a motorist lost control of a car coming round a tight bend and skidded off the road.

Amateur snapper Luke Edwards said the incident happened shortly before 4pm, with the car travelling along Prickwillow Road and heading towards Queen Adelaide when it lost control and swerved into a ditch.

Police closed the road while recovery crews retrieved the vehicle. The driver, 18-year-old Luke Davison from Littleport was unhurt, and none of his four teenage passengers was badly injured. The road was open again by 4.30pm.
