A FOOTPATH has been closed after an attempted sexual assault in Ely.
Police cordoned off an area between Upherd’s Lane and Christopher Tye Close after an alleged attack took place at midnight last night (Thursday, October 13).
The incident was reported to officers at about 1am.
Investigations took place throughout the morning before officers removed the cordon in the early afternoon.
Officers are still conducting inquiries into the incident.
