Two men have been banned from going into Ely city centre shops, the cathedral and Marks and Spencer in Cambridge for five years.

A criminal behaviour order has been slapped on Luke Badcock, 28, and Michael King, 35 by police who say they must not be together in Ely City centre or anywhere near the banned shops until the end of September 2020.

The pair can only go to Llloyds pharmacy at St Mary’s Surgery to collect prescribed medication.

Police are calling for the public to call 101 if they see the men either together in the city or where they should not be.

A breach of the order means they could be jailed.

The order states that they are: “prohibited from entering Ely city centre shops, BP Witchford Road service station in Ely, Lisle Lane and Sainsbury’s, Tesco or Aldi in Ely, the One Stop Shop or St John’s Road In Ely.

“Nisa shop or St Mary’s street in Ely unless to collect prescription medication from Lloyds Pharmacy at St Mary’s Surgery, Ely cathedral and Marks and Spencers in Cambridge.

“If they do not comply with all of the provisions, they will be committing a criminal offence and could be sent to prison.”

Any breach of the order is a criminal offence and the public is being urged to call 101 if they see either of the two men in banned shops or together in the city centre.
