TWO men have been arrested on suspicion of theft of copper cables and various tools following a routine vehicle check during the early hours of Tuesday morning.
A dog handler stopped the vehicle in the Witchford Road area of Ely.
A 23-year-old man and a 29-year-old man, both from Peterborough, remain in custody at Parkside Police Station.
12-hour squash marathon
A SIXTY-year-old rugby player raised £700 by playing squash for 12 hours.
David Ballard, from Prickwillow, played numerous opponents at the Paradise Centre, Ely.

Mr Ballard, a former marine, is chairman of Ely Rugby Club and plays for the club's second and third teams.
He raised the money for Ely Rugby Club's junior section.
He said: "I'd like to thank the Paradise Centre for allowing me to play for free and everyone who came along.
