LARGER than life television characters came to Ely on Thursday to support teenagers on GCSE results day. 'Vicky Pollard' was accompanied by 'Superman' and the unusual walkabout was the brainchild of the young people's advice service Connexions, to highlight the fact that unexpected exam results need not be a barrier to future achievement. Connexions is for youngsters aged 13 to 19 and provides advice on careers and training opportunities.
