David Palmer shared stories and experiences from his time in the auction room with members of the Parkinson’s Ely Support Group.
Mr Palmer, who has appeared on TV’s Flog It and Bargain Hunt attended the support group’s May meeting, held at Littleport Leisure Centre and spoke at length about his experiences as an auctioneer.
A spokesman for the support group said: “His various anecdotes brought much laughter and, in thanking him for a most entertaining afternoon, the group chairman and treasurer thanked him and presented him with a flashy waistcoat made by Dorothy Howell.”
The Parkinson’s Ely Support Group has monthly meetings on the third Tuesday of each month and is open to Parkinson’s sufferers and carers.
