THE Octagon Tangent Club of Ely has raised more than £1,200 for brain tumour research.

Since the club was chartered in May last year, chairman Sue Wilson has dedicated her fundraising efforts to the Brain Tumour Research charity, raising £1230 by holding dinner parties at her home in Wicken.

The dinner parties have been supported by members of the club, Ely Freemasons and Wicken Swallowtails.

Brain Tumour Research is the charity chosen by Sue Marlow, the national president of the tangent clubs. The National Association of Tangent Clubs is made up of the wives and partners of former members of the Round Table organisation.
