A TRIO of brave volunteers submitted their legs for a charity waxing in Littleport this week.

The three men, all employees at the Grange Nursing Home, agreed to have their hirsute legs waxed in front of dozens of residents and colleagues on Tuesday to raise money for the home.

The idea for the event came after the trio revealed to colleagues that they were planning to attend a birthday party as pop group, the Spice Girls and wanted to look as authentic as possible.

It came to light that the daughter of one of the home’s employees worked as a beautician locally and it was quickly agreed that the trio would have their legs waxed for charity.

Business manager at the home, Collete Grantham, said: “The guys felt that if they were going to go to a party as the Spice Girls they should do it properly so it was decided that they should have their legs waxed.

“We have had lots of donations for the event and we have managed to raise 221.50 so far for the home.”
