Trains back to normal between Peterborough and Ely as signal system repaired

A signalling problem at Kings Dyke near Whittlesey has been repaired and trains between Peterborough and Ely are back running.
A spokesman for East Midland Trains said: “We had a fault with the signalling system at Kings Dyke, near Peterborough.
T”his is between Peterborough and Ely. This was disrupting our trains on the Liverpool Lime Street/Nottingham/Norwich route.
“The lines have now re opened.”
The spokesman added: “Our trains on the route will now be able to run in both directions between Peterborough and Ely.
“Customers travelling between Liverpool Lime Street and Norwich are likely to experience extended journey times of up to 20 minutes and short notice alterations to trains.”
