PROSPECTIVE trainee fire-fighter Jade Huggins may have to delay taking up her new job with the fire service, she told magistrates this week.
Huggins admitted driving without insurance and without wearing a seat belt - and she expects the six points put on her licence for the offence will lead to DVLA revoking her driving licence, because she was a new driver.
Huggins, 25, of St Andrew's Close, Sutton, was due to start her fire service training five days after her court hearing.
"I need a licence for that job," she said. "I would not be able to continue training as a fire-fighter."

Huggins was stopped by police on July 31 last year because she was not wearing a seat belt, said prosecutor Sally Rose. Inquiries revealed she had no insurance cover for the yellow Rover MG car she was driving, and the vehicle was seized.
Representing herself, Huggins said she had been unaware there was no insurance in place, as reminders had been sent to the wrong address. She was fined a total of 420, with 35 costs and a 15 surcharge.
