A RUSH hour collision between a car and a tractor at Queen Adelaide Way left two people trapped in a ditch.
The crash, which took place at around 5.30pm yesterday (Thursday) night, forced the car into the six-foot deep ditch.
Fire, police and ambulance were called to the scene at around 5.30pm. Fire-fighters had to cut the roof off of the car in order to free one of the casualties, who was stuck in the upturned vehicle.
The passenger was unhurt, but the freed man was taken to hospital by ambulance before emergency services moved to recover the car. The road, off the A142 between Ely and Stuntney, was initially closed by police but was reopened to traffic from 6pm.
