Children around Ely and Cambridge are set to benefit from toys donated to a radio appeal with the latest donation made by MP Julian Huppert and a Cambridge bike firm.
Mr Huppert and the Townsend Light Blue Cycle Centre joined forces to donate a child’s bicycle for the Star Radio Toy Appeal.
The bike will be delivered along with thousands of other toys donated to the appeal to hospitals, children’s centres and hospices around Cambridge on Monday December 22.
Lottie Booth from Star Radio, Callum Fairhurst from Liam Fairhurst Foundation, MP Julian Huppert and Clare Curtis from Townsends Light Blue Cycle Centre got together to make the presentation.
A Star Radio spokesman said: “We need your help to make Christmas special for less fortunate children in Cambridge and Ely.
“Sadly, some children in our local area will wake up on Christmas Day to find nothing under the tree. That shouldn’t, and doesn’t have to be the case.
“When you’re out shopping, simply pick up an extra small gift and drop it off at one of our Toy Appeal collection points. Help make a difference, locally.
