THE Soham Festival will take on a distinctly Gallic flavour this year to celebrate the town's recent twinning with Andrezieux-Boutheon in the south of France.

A series of French films will kick off the festival at the pavilion on Tuesday.

There will also be a youth disco on Wednesday for eight to 14-year-olds, a chance to explore Soham's restaurants on the Thursday and a music night with Eel Pie on Saturday, May 27.

The new twin town will be celebrated in an illustrated talk on Andrezieux-Boutheon on May 26, at the pavilion from 7pm. It is free and will feature a food and wine fair.
