Pupils at St Andrew's, Soham, took a trip back into Britain's past for the school's Medieval week.

All the children at the school took part in a packed week of activities, including the chance to make their own version of the Bayeux tapestry, hat-making, falconry and archery.

The children also learnt how a wattle-and-daub house was constructed by building a section themselves with garden canes and plaster of Paris, and learnt about the history of Burwell castle.

They also had a visit from Medieval musical group The Troubadours.

School secretary Kate Sore said: "There were a lot of activities and the children had a great time."
