Three men were suspected of hare coursing offences in a hamlet near Coveney

The three men, all from Surrey, were caught on Old Lynn Drove, Wardy Hill, by PC Briggs and PC Rampley and were interviewed at the scene and reported for summons.

PC Gerry Cronin said: “The three men were found with their dogs and were dealt with promptly without any animals coming to harm.

“We want to reiterate that hare coursing is a blood sport and we have no tolerance of it in East Cambridgeshire.

“We will continue to respond quickly to any reports of such criminal behaviour and we’re always grateful to the community for making us aware.”
