Three arrested in drugs raids

THREE people have been arrested and a quantity of what is believed to be class A and C drugs seized following three separate raids in the Cambridgeshire area - one of which was in Littleport.

THREE people have been arrested and a quantity of what is believed to be class A and C drugs seized following three separate raids in the Cambridgeshire area - one of which was in Littleport.

All three raids were carried out on Tuesday (November 13) under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

The first raid took place at a property in Wisbech Road, Littleport where a small amount of what is believed to be class A drugs were seized.

A 30-year-old man from the village was arrested on suspicion of possession of a class A drug was released with no further action.

The second raid took place at a property in Hobart Road, Cambridge where a small amount of what is believed to be class A drugs were seized and one man arrested. He has since been charged with two counts of possessing a class A drug with intent to supply and one count of possession of a class C drug.

The third raid took place at a property in Chestnut Grove, Cambridge where a small amount of what is believed to be class C drugs were seized and two men arrested. One man was later released with no further action and the other was charged with a number of drugs related offences.

Dwane Williams, aged 27, of Sturrock Close, London was charged with two counts of possession of a class A drug with intent to supply and one count of possession of a class C drug. He will appear at Cambridge Magistrates Court this morning (Friday)

A 16-year-old boy from Croydon has been charged with possession of a class A drug with intent to supply and has been bailed to appear at Cambridge Youth Court on Wednesday (November 21).
