Jewellery boxes and a laptop computer were among items stolen from a home in Ely.

Burglars broke into a shed at the rear of the house, in Witchford Road, between 9am and 4.20pm yesterday (October 14) and stole a spade which they used to smash a window and get in.

Once inside they stole a wooden cigar box, two jewellery boxes, a Rotary watch, a bracelet, and a Lenova laptop.

A spokesman for Cambridgeshire police said: “Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the area and saw anything suspicious or knows where the items are now.”
