AN Ely resident woke to found thieves had dug up a six feet tree in the front garden and made off with it.
The startled householder in Stour Green could find no trace of the tree, dirt or even drag marks.
But it appeared the thief had climbed a fence to get into the back garden where a bird bath had been found turned over.
