'The Summer of Love' will be the theme at the 19th annual Wilburton Beer Festival this month.

The festival, sponsored by EMG, will feature a beer a local cider selection larger than ever before, as well as a generous supply of Pimms and Prosecco on June 17 and 18.

Live music will also feature with bands throughout the weekend and there will be “lots of activities to keep the children entertained,” according to a spokesman.

All proceeds will be donated to local community good causes. Last year the festival raised a record total of 7,368, which was given away to Wilburton Recreation Improvement Group, First Responders, H.E.A.R.T, local sporting clubs, local guiding groups, over 60’s, Liam Fairhurst Foundation, Wilburton Theatre Group, Wilburton Primary School and Humpty’s Pre-School.

That amount took its total tally up to £60,000 over its 18 years.
