Community police officers gave a talk on their work including a tour of one of the force’s cars.
PCSOs Ian Hawkins and Annie Austin visited Little Thetford Primary to speak to the children about the work of the police.
The visit was part of work carried out in the local community including school parking patrols which they say has raised no issues this week in the Ely area.
Police community support officers been carrying out checks at St Andrew’s and Weatheralls in Soham and St Johns in Ely.
“We are happy to report that there were no issues and the feedback from the parents is that the situation in general is vastly improved,” a spokesman said.
“East Cambs PCSO’s are very grateful for the support they have received from parents and carers.
“As this operation draws to a close, it is hoped that the situation will continue to improve with less police attendance. Local officers will continue to focus on schools unannounced in the coming weeks.”
