MEETINGS this weekend were led by Major John Boyd and brother Geoff Porter. A Lenten Bible study series begins this week, to be held on Wednesday evenings at 7pm. On Friday, March 3 the ecumenical Women's World Day of Prayer service takes place at the Salvation Army Hall in City Road and the speaker will be Major Alison Burns.
The service has been prepared by the women of South Africa, and Alison was brought up in southern Africa. On Sunday, altar services will be held for gifts in aid of work in overseas territories. On Saturday, March 11 a coffee morning and nearly-new sale will be held.
