This garden in front of Fairfax Court, Ely, is being entered in the Anglia in Bloom competition later in the year.
Fairfax Court residents Ray Cross and Alan Hodson created the garden, which contains daffodils, crocuses and polyanthas.
Mr Cross, a former King's School, Ely gardener, said: "We just wanted to create something nice for the people that live around here. Ely in Bloom chairman Sheila Friend-Smith saw it and was so impressed she suggested that we enter it into Anglia in Bloom.
"The people of Fairfax Court have been generously donating money towards the garden and they have shown a great deal of respect for it."
Mrs Friend-Smith said: "The garden is really beautiful and it's wonderful to see people showing initiative and taking pride in their city."
