AT our February meeting, John Shaw, from March, gave a social philatelic display on 'a year of sport, 1937'. Many different sports were illustrated alphabetically by the use of stamps, covers, postcards, sports programmes and tickets. A fascinating commentary was given on those various sporting activities from the year of 1937.
The next meeting takes place on March 2 in the library at the City of Ely Community College at 7.30pm when Brian Needs from Lincoln will give a talk and display entitled 'Fire Service'. Visitors are welcome.
