The Cambridgeshire Army Cadet Force is on a recruitment drive.
There are currently over 775 cadets and 160 adult volunteers in the county, and the force is looking to boost that number by asking Cambridgeshire to get involved.
A spokesman said: “Do you like adventure, making new friends and having fun while gaining qualifications and life skils? Then the Army Cadet Force is the place for you.
“We offer loads of fun activities such as mountain biking, canoeing, archery, paintball and many more in our adventures training.
“Our APC syllabus teaches you skills like first aid, navigation and shooting.”
The Ely detachment meets at Heaton Drive on Tuesdays between 7.30-9.30pm, while in Haddenham they meet at the Recreation Ground on Thursdays between 7-9.30pm.
The Soham group meet at Soham Town Rangers FC, Julius Martin Lane on Wednesdays between 7-9.30pm, while at Waterbeach they meet at the Cadet Training Centre on Denny End Road from 7.30-9.30pm.
