Teenagers Bike Ride Raises Money For Ely's New Memorial Plaque

CITY of Ely Youth Council members Ben Norris Harry Atkinson helped to raise more than �1,000 for a plaque on Ely's War Memorial.
The teenagers, rode from Ely to Hunstanton and back again over two days, a total of 106 miles. They were part of a group of seven riders, who ranged in age from 13 to 15.
The cash will be used to buy a war memorial plaque to be put on the War Memorial in Ely in remembrance of all those who lost their lives in the Second World War and subsequent wars up to the present day. A donation will also be given to Milton Children's Hospice.
Ben is the chairman of the Ely Youth Council and attends the City of Ely Community College.
