A TEENAGER was treated by ambulance crews for a burns injury.
A TEENAGER was treated by ambulance crews on Saturday night after he suffered minor burns to his hand.
Paramedics were called to the Wilburton Recreation Ground at 9.53pm and attended to a 17-year-old male who had received burn injuries, but did not require hospital treatment.
Ambulance crews from the East of England Ambulance Service (EEAST) are however, praising the public for taking care and putting safety first during the weekends firework celebrations.
In total, EEAST attended eight firework related incidents across the east on Saturday, November 5. Ambulance service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “Out of the eight calls we attended, only five needed transportation to hospital, and thankfully the injuries were not serious.” Gary added: “This figure shows that the public are attending professionally organised events in the towns or villages where they live.”
