SIX trains were delayed when teenager Faye Szulc climbed on a railway bridge and threatened to jump.

Police officers called to Willow Walk in Ely tried to talk her down, but were forced to withdraw when she threatened to throw herself off.

At the city courthouse on Thursday, the 18-year-old - who is subject to an ASBO - admitted trespassing on the lines belonging to Network Rail on August 3.

Police were called to the area to deal with a group of drunken youths who were on the railway, said prosecutor Matthew Bradbury. Szulc was told to get down from the bridge because she was in danger. She refused, but left the area after police moved away.

Szulc, of Christopher Tye Close, Ely, also admitted stealing two bottles of alcoholic spirits from Waitrose in Ely on July 25

She denied using threatening behaviour and breaching her ASBO on August 1 by being verbally abusive to a police community support officer.

Szulc also denied breaching her ASBO on August 3 by trespassing and remaining on railway property, causing disruption and nuisance to passenger services.

The terms of her ASBO say she must not "engage in behaviour that causes, or is likely to cause, nuisance, harassment, alarm or distress to others, or is threatening, abusive, or insulting to others in Ely or Soham."

The court will set a date for her trial on September 20 and she was given unconditional bail.

Presiding magistrate Dr Christine Shaw told the teenager: "If you commit any more offences while on bail, the authorities will ask for you to be put in prison.

"You cannot go on committing offences like this.
