A WARRANT is to be issued for the arrest of a teenager who failed to appear in court on Thursday.
The 14-year-old boy, from Burwell, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was due to appear before Ely Youth Court after twice failing to keep appointments with the probation service in connection with a referral order.
He had been given the four-month order on July 18 by Cambridge Youth Court in respect of an offence of assault by beating.
He failed to keep appointments on July 31 and August 2, Ely Youth Court was told.
