ELY teenager Jake McHale jumped out of the window of his home as it was raided by police officers and dumped two wraps of heroin in a neighbour's garden.
An officer gave chase and caught up with 19-year-old McHale and found the discarded drugs, a court heard.
On Tuesday, McHale, of High Barns, Ely, admitted possessing a Class A drug when he appeared before the city's magistrates.
The court heard that the incident happened when police called at his home to execute a drugs' warrant on April 7 and McHale admitted the 107 milligrams of heroin belonged to him.
McHale was granted a 12 months' conditional discharge and ordered to pay £50 costs. The court ordered the forfeiture of the heroin.
