HADDENHAM teenager David Blake has been charged with robbing a woman in Ely.

Blake, 19, of Station Road, is accused of snatching Riah Wilson's handbag and its contents, including a mobile phone and purse, on May 30.

He is also accused of committing two more offences with co-defendant Carl Bond, 24, of The Brook, Sutton.

Both men are charged with going equipped for theft in Ely on May 31, by being in possession of three screwdrivers, and interfering with a Ford Escort van in the city in the same date.

Bond is further charged with possessing heroin on May 31.

On Thursday, both men were sent for trial before Cambridge Crown Court and given conditional bail. They are due to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on June 8.
