A THREE-year driving ban was imposed on teenage motorist Benjamin Hustwayte this week, after he admitted giving a breath test reading almost three times the legal alcohol limit.

Hustwayte, of North Fen, Little Downham, was stopped by police after coming to a skidding halt in Ponts Hill at Littleport in the early hours of August 30, Ely magistrates were told.

He gave a breath test reading of 99 mcgs of alcohol in 100 mls of breath, when the legal limit is 35 mcgs

This was the second time the 18-year-old had been convicted for drink driving - back in November 2006 he was banned from driving for 18 months.
