TEARFUL teacher Louise Utley assured magistrates she had learned a lesson this week, when she admitted speeding.

Utley, 31, was driving her fiancé's company car, a 2.7 litre automatic Jaguar, when she was clocked at 90 mph, along the A603 at Little Eversden, breaking the 60 mph limit.

She normally drove a 1.2 Vauxhall Corsa, Utley, of The Green Steeple Morden, told Ely magistrates. She had only driven the car once before, and had not realised what speed she was driving.

The court fined Utley £300 with £35 costs and a £15 surcharge, and put six points on her licence.

When presiding magistrate Bryant Watson told Utley to drive safely in future, Utley said: "I have learned this lesson.
