Two lanes of the A14 east bound near Exning, Newmarket, were closed off earlier today when a tanker crashed, came off the road, and sent diesel spilling out onto the roadside.
Queues backed up as emergency services were called to deal with the stricken tanker.
According to social media reports by the Norfolk and Suffolk Road Policing Unit the tanker had a full load estimated at some 4,000 litres of diesel.
An ambulance was called but the incident was dealt with at the scene and the driver was not taken to hospital.
The Environment Agency was also called to help with the removal of the diesel.
