A DELICIOUS variety of cakes were showcased at Fen House in Ely on Friday as part of the Brian Injury Rehabilitation Trust’s Grand Bake Off event.
Residents at Fen House, in Lynn Road, produced everything from chocolate to lemon drizzle cakes, which were put on display and then judged by visiting members of the Littleport Women’s Institute.
Judge Trudy said: “I could not get over how professional the cakes looked and they tasted absolutely wonderful.”
The Grand Bake Off also took place at the trust’s 12 other centres around the country, with three winners being selected from Ely to go and compete in the national final, which takes place Chalkdown House, in Swindon, later in the year.
The national winner will be presented with a hamper filled with baking goodies.
