SUTTON residents and volunteers from Nellie’s Community Cafe s met at Scott Court to make a presentation to Nicole Wilson this week.

Nicole told her inspiring stories of the work she does as an ambassador for those affected by meningitis, as well as her own personal struggle with the condition.

Nicole is currently lobbying the House of Commons for work to begin on creating a national vaccine to help prevent meningitis and we wish her well in her efforts.

Scott Court had been raising money for Nicole for several months, culminating at their Summer Fayre back in September when a total of 245 was collected.

Nellie’s Cafe was invited to provide the refreshments at the Fayre, serving their usual menu of teas, coffees, homemade cake and their famous bacon butties and their profits of 75 were also presented to Nicole.
